The Island Medical Centre (the IMC) is a small private medical practice situated in the heart of St Anne, Alderney. The practice was purpose built in 2015 on the Le Val site and has two consulting rooms and a practice nurse’s treatment room. In addition we have a small reception team, led by our Practice Manager, Mrs Tracy Jean. The Practice is situated in an easily accessible location for all users, at the end of Le Val free carpark.
We welcome both visitors and residents to our practice. We have around 2000 registered patients and are a CHKS Accredited practice.
The IMC has been providing a high quality, compassionate primary care service to islanders and visitors for many years. We are committed to providing evidence based medical care to our patients and we keep up to date with the latest advances in medical practice.
We want to provide the best service possible within the resources available. We are actively developing health promotion clinics and firmly believe that prevention is better than cure.
Same day, 15 minute appointments are available every weekday morning from 0830-1200 noon. We do not offer double appointments during the morning clinic and we no longer have “drop-in” surgeries.
Apart from Wednesday afternoons, there are 15 minute pre-booked routine afternoon clinics starting at 1530-1745 on the other days of the week. Double appointments can be booked in the afternoons. Emergency appointments are available each day after discussion with the relevant clinician. We also offer telephone appointments, usually at the end of morning surgery.
Outside of these times (1800-0800) you can call Le Mignot Memorial Hospital on 01481 822822 should you require urgent or emergency medical care.
In a life threatening emergency at any time of the day you should call 999.
