Dr Hunt qualified in medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 2002. She has worked in a variety of fields, including remote medicine with the British Antarctic Survey Medical Unit (BASMU), Senior Ship’s Doctor on Carnival UK cruise ships, diving medicine at the Diving Diseases Research Centre in Plymouth and emergency medicine in various hospitals around the UK.
She qualified as a GP in January 2020 shortly before coming to Alderney, where she has worked throughout the Covid pandemic supporting both the hospital and the practice in a variety of roles.
She has a particular interest in medical education and is a Course Director for the Advanced Life Support Group which provides courses in Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS), Acute Psychiatric Emergencies, and the Medic Advanced Life Support course.
Dr Hunt lives with her two dogs Jack and Dougal.
