We offer driving licence medicals each afternoon apart from Wednesdays. These must be booked as double appointments in the early afternoon in Winter. This is because you will need to do a number plate test in good light and the light generally deteriorates after 4pm in January and February.
The fee for a car licence medical is currently £85 and for HGV or PSV medicals, it is £100. We cannot undertake these medicals during morning surgeries. Please let the receptionists know you are booking for a driving licence medical and bring the completed documentation with you (obtainable from the States Office at the Island Hall.) along with your glasses if you use them for driving.
Please note: Our doctors do not make the decision as to whether you are fit to drive or not: that is up to the DVLA (Guernsey) medical adviser.
